My goals and educational philosophy

Starting off in a new community is a very exciting and challenging experience.  I have been spending a lot of time thinking about trying to integrate my beliefs and skills with yours to create a cohesive and successful program.  I want you to know that I am here to work with you all and I would love your ideas and thoughts about the school, but I wanted to share mine with you.

My goal is to create a dynamic and modern environment to enhance Jewish learning and living.  Under my leadership, Temple Solel’s religious school will be a fun, captivating and relevant place for our youth to learn about our Jewish heritage. It is my hope that all of the graduates will become full participants in Jewish communal life, ensuring that our beliefs and traditions will thrive.

I want to enhance the stated goals of your school by creating every moment as a learning experience.  I will not only prepare your children to ‘live responsible Jewish lives… at home and in the Temple;’ I will also encourage them to become role models in the larger Jewish community.  I will not only educate your children in a ‘contemporary Jewish experience,’ but I will provide them with the tools to educate others.  And I will not only ‘involve the family actively’ in your children’s Jewish education; I will also give your families the tools to create learning and cultural experiences in their own homes.
